THE POWER OF RELEASE…

It is no small thing to come to this place of decision… “Does my need to hold on to my story outweigh my desire to rise above it…”

It was such an honor to co-facilitate a workshop this past weekend titled “LETTING GO” where an awesome group of coaches, nurses, seminar leaders, and baby boomer-retirees who came together for the SOUL purpose of releasing the limiting beliefs, resentments and behaviors of their life experiences. I sat in awe of their intrepid spirit and willingness to be transparent as they rolled up their sleeves and dug deep.

The keys principles of this process are:

• To welcome in the feelings that are connected to the incident, thought or experience of “our story” that challenges you in any way.
• To welcome in the realization that this experience has no relevance in this present moment.
• To welcome the release of the connection and “charge” that this incident, thought or experience has had on your life.

As simple as this concept appears, the actual process creates such a positive shift in your life!  You see, our busy lives call for us to be in a constant state of “DOING”.  For so much of my life I truly believed that if ANYTHING was going to get done…I had to do it!  That was a huge weight that was on my shoulders and OYE…the pressure!  And honestly, that was pretty much a crock!

The key is to remember that we are human BEINGS not Human DOINGS!  The magic of staying present in the moment will give you cause to recognize that your past does not have to define you.  When I made the commitment to myself to release the charge around others expectations of what I should or shouldn’t be doing I realized that I could stand fully in my passion and purpose.  I really began to feel a new sense of freedom from my limiting beliefs, thoughts and behaviors that had kept me chained to the shadow of self doubt, shame and uncertainty of my own abilities, gifts and talents.

INTREPID – (adjective) [in-treppid] to be fearless, courageous, and bold

Time and time again I hear from my clients that they are ready to stop playing small. They are eager to take their business to the next level of success. The question I hear is “How do I raise the bar of confidence to make the magic happen?”  When I introduced the concept of becoming INTREPID into my process things really started to CLICK for my clients.  What I realized is that becoming INTREPID was an essential key element in their personal growth and their business expansion.

I want you to be crystal clear on what it means to discover your INTREPID nature.. To strive to be INTREPID is a call to raise your personal standards of how you see yourself and how you express yourself and your message to the world.

First, I spent some quality time with my nose in my Dictionary (wordsmiths think Dictionaries rock!). Then I went deeper into my research by perusing my Thesaurus where I found a fabulous list of inspiring words that describe INTREPID with such imagery! Words like valiant, heroic, daring, gallant, resolute, audacious, and PLUCKY (which means showing courage and determination in the face of difficulty or superior odds) all drove home the power of Discovering Your Intrepid Nature!

I thought, “YES! This is the perfect word to describe exactly who my determined clients are! To become INTREPID is a call to action that changes everything!”

To be INTREPID is a leap of faith, jumping head long into the Entrepreneurial world which takes such courage. It takes pushing past the fear of uncertainty.  It takes bold action to remove the road blocks of our own limiting beliefs.  It takes believing you CAN do it and it takes inspired action to make it happen!

You will discover your INTREPID Nature when you…

• Follow your Passion and Purpose
• Release the limiting beliefs that just don’t serve you and replacing them with the TRUTH – You are Extraordinary and the world awaits your brilliance!
• Create a VISION for your business – what would it look like if you simply could NOT fail?
• You just have-ta-have a PLAN!
• Now, with the strategy, systems, and consistent processes in place – You now must take Inspired Action   – It’s all about Clarity, Commitment, Consistency, and Confidence!

Discovering your INTREPID Nature which is a perfect blend of trusting your own intuition, having the faith that you can do what you set your mind to do, and the motivation to do what it takes to create the business and the life you envision!

Recently I had the honor of presenting my Signature Talk to a large gathering of heart-centered and conscious agents of change.  The room was filled with entrepreneurs, healers, authors, consultants, business owners and seekers – all with the unified intention to do their part to change the world.

I spoke on the topic of The Sacred Art of Mastering Change which is the title of my soon to be released book.  It is a subject that I am very passionate about.  As I work with clients all over the country I hear so often that the shadow of their limiting beliefs keep them from achieving their goals. This group openly talked about their frustrations and challenges they felt trying to find their way past mindset issues that have held them back from achieving their dreams.

The truth is that we all must slay this dragon…  We live in a world that is entrapped with fear and lack. The sobering statistics show that over 80% of entrepreneurial start ups fail within the first few years simply because they lack the strategy, tools, and the framework to move past the roadblocks in their lives to find the clear path to accomplish their goals. I felt compelled to write this book in a heart-felt effort to help others shift away from fear, frustration and lack and to embrace Love – love of ourselves, others and of life itself.

Standing my kitchen, preparing for what seemed like just another busy day, the phone rang, “Turn on the News Katie, something is happening.” I heard the quivering voice of my girlfriend on the line.  “What’s going on?” I questioned.  “Just turn on the News.” She whispered.

In that moment, an entire nation held their breath as we watched, through tears of anguish and grief as the unspeakable unfolded.   Sorrow poured out of every heart, spilled out on the streets, and echoed in the hallways of every home in America.  We grieved for the loss of precious and innocent lives, for the uncertainty that stirred in us all, and for the world that was changing before our very eyes.
